plugins - Load External-C Library (Newton.Dylib) via Ruby (Google Sketchup's Version) -


i'm trying load external functions newton library google sketchup via ruby google sketchup plugin. i'm aware of sketchyphysics exact thing know it's possible. i'm not entirely sure how sketchyphysics did this, appears using dl library. not sure how use this, , apparently after doing research lot of people saying it's archaic library? (maybe can explain).

chris philips author of sketchy physics seems have abandoned project , need functionality physics testing involving magnets. intend bring project life need understand basics of loading external c libraries via ruby (with google sketchup ruby interpreter)

i did research ffi (https://github.com/ffi/ffi), appears not sure how compile or use it? appreciative.
