sitecore8 - Why does the 'Deployed' state of the 'Analytics Workflow' modify my campaign item in Sitecore 8.1? -


i have item under /system/marketing control panel/campaigns of type /templates/system/analytics/campaign, , it's in /workflows/analytics workflow workflow.

when item's workflow state 'draft', can edit/save fields , retain values saved. when item given 'deployed' workflow state, value of 'display name' field gets set value of 'title' field. both when item enters state, , every time edit/save item.

this happening in 8.1 (not 8.0 or below), , happens if set state directly 'deployed', or if move stated 'deployed' through workflow.

sorry gif jacked up, can see when change draft deployed, name in content tree changes, 'display name' field. when try change in 'deployed' state, changes immediately.

i think bug, however, confirm sitecore support 100% certain.

when save item, sitecore trigger onitemsaved event handler within sitecore.analytics.data.items.itemeventhandler shown below:

this handler checks see if item in final workflow state (which is), , if so, deploys definition , attempts update item's referring items changes:

however, instead of updating referring items, appears re-playing changes against current item, not referring items. there place title updated campaigns.

in short, i'm not sure why it's occurring , should check support on one.
