javascript - Missing require not throwing ReferenceError -


i deployed node app had missing require statement resulted in app crashing, on local development machine no referenceerror: <symbol> not defined ever thrown it's not caught test cases.

what cause , can insure referenceerrors thrown in development environment when require missing code?
